    BSc(Hons) MB BS Dip IMC RCS(Ed) DFFP DPD MRCGP DOccMed Medical Director  (GMC No: 4741664 /Devang Ramesh Patel) Dr Patel qualified from Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals in London, in 2000, with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and also Honours degree in Genetics. He started with jobs in General and Vascular Surgery and has since worked in over 9 specialities including dermatology. He attained the Diploma in Practical Dermatology (with merit) in 2006. The following year he went on to tutor for the same course and also attained his qualifications in General Practice. 9 of these years were spent serving as a Medical Officer in the Royal Navy and one of his many highlights was attaining his parachute wings as part of the NATO-wide elite rescue team, S.P.A.G. (Subsunk Parachute Assistance Group). He has settled in his home city of Portsmouth and maintains his special interest in dermatology doing occasional NHS GP work and also works regular minor surgery clinics. Dr Patel is a certified advanced aesthetics practitioner and by combining his dermatology and aesthetics knowledge, he is able to provide a truly holistic and patient-tailored approach to skincare. Dr Patel was the proud winner of The Cosmetic Therapist of the Year Award 2013 and 2015. He was the first doctor in England to introduce Plexr for non-surgical blepharoplasty and other applications and is also a UK Trainer of doctors in Soft Surgery.  Dr Patel is currently the UK Ambassador and Lead Trainer for PLEXR. He was featured as an industry expert for Botox in the Ultimate Beauty Guide 2015 and has been invited to speak at both UK and international conferences. He also teaches other doctors on behalf of the Primary Care Dermatology Society and was invited to be a judge for the coveted Aesthetic Awards in 2016. He is also an Advisory Board Member and the UK KOL for AlumierMD as well as a Full Member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM). His passions outside of medicine and dermatology, include travel and adrenaline sports, although it is some time since he did the latter!
